The most perfect verse in years:
Great Heart will not be denied :-
Know that I am at your side,
on the day that the moon fails,
And the sun must hide his pride.
(the first line 'great heart' is from the lord of the rings , king Theoden speaking to one of the hobbits. Each line is 7 syllables , i find myself writing 7 syllable lines often when i rhyme . Rest of poem will be published after the competition for which it was written)
BLACK
I have felt the silence of my obligation to you,
but i might never know,
The true weight of that silence.
I was born into the Black night,
Deaf and Blind i learnt to feel,
Feel the Blackness around me .
I groped along that smooth obsidian road of fate ,
and found my way into the softness,
of your Black bed.
And i tasted your soft poison ,
Its fire burnt my throat,
But my tongue quivers for more,
My Lips are wet with the desire,
To brush against your soft Blackness once more
I Lost something of myself,
'cause i learned that
the three syllables of your true name,
can be repeated in mantra,
My mind is a blank slate,
my body inflamed with beastial hunger for Black,
and Black, poisonous death.
For years i'v been building a palace
out of the gems of Logos
And Sophie's golden hair,
You came and slipped the sun under your tongue,
and shut your mouth ,
so that only Black issued forth from your lips.
My gems shine no more.
I Throw Logos into the ebony ocean ,
with the knowledge that i will never see again,
unless you spit the sun back out ,
But i fear you will swallow the gods whole
Drink the milky way down
and rip the celestial dark asunder.
And i fear that you would still want more.
But i long for that Oblivion,
To be free of Fate's weight,
I long to be emptied of my nothing,
and fill myself,
with your Black.
