Sing oh Goddess

Sing to me oh ocean goddess
Sing to me oh goddess of the sea,
For i have learned your name
which is most precious to me,
You are worth more to me
than all the pearls and onyx
that lay hidden beneath the blue veil
of the ocean's face.

Tear back the veil that i may dance among
your diamonds again,
That i may pluck gold and rubies from the depths of your hearts,
Not to claim but only to marvel at their beauty,
Before i return them respectfully to their place within thee.

I heard a seabird sing a song so sweet,
It was as gentle as silence but as precious as honey,
Flowing slowly across the valley floor,
As nourishing as milk.
The song was your name repeated
A thousand times in a thousand tongues
A thousand fold beauties of thee.
