I have seen Beauty's face

I have seen Beauty's Face I have seen the face of beauty O’er the clouds,
Her hair hanging down like a raven waterfall,
Her eyes looking upon me blazing like a billion stars.

Sing oh Muses of the beauty of this woman,
The Silver and diamond light of the moon and stars
Fail to illuminate her loveliness ,
The proud sun hides his eyes
and dare not look upon her
For in his mind none is brighter than him.

I Look upon her and see not skin and human flesh,
But marble and ivory encrusted with rubies,
But a thousand rubies are not her equal,
Ten thousand diamonds could not glimmer
with her beauty.

I poor I try to sing to her
and make her believe in her
own beauty,
But my throat runs dry
my lips crack when I pronounce her name
My words are as nightingales fleeing from
The rising sun,
They sing with beauty for a time
But melt away .

If I cannot express my love for her in words,
How can she ever understand?
From whence cometh wisdom?
Can words ever truly convey thoughts?
Or is it that when we speak sweet words
Angels carry them into our hearts ,
Sweet words sweeter than honey,
Soothing balm for the wounds of life.

All I can do is pray,
That she understand my love ,
For words fail and melt in time,
Flowers die and wither,
Diamonds are lost and stolen,
But Love never fails.
